Guo Xueping, member of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party. Having graduated from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law with a Bachelor of Laws degree in International Economic Law, then he continued with his postgraduate study in the Northwest University of Political Science and Law and received Master’s degree of Civil and Commercial Law.
In addition to formal education, Mr. Guo has participated in workshops or seminars to update his professional knowledge. In 1999, he took part in the Sino-Canadian Judicial Cooperation Program jointly organized by China's National Judges College and Canada's Université de Montréal. In 2002, he participated in the First Seminar of the Independent Directors of Listed Company co-organized by the China Securities Regulatory Commission and Fudan University. In 2005, Mr. Guo was selected among thousands of applicants across China to participate in the Bucerius Summer Seminar on German, EU and WTO Law organized by the Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS-IOL) in cooperation with the Bucerius Law School.
Mr. Guo is mainly engaged in legal affairs related to corporate governance, natural resources development, foreign and international business. He has accumulated rich practical experience and profound theoretical knowledge in business areas related to Sino-foreign joint ventures, cooperative ventures, M&A, corporate governance, foreign investment in China and outbound investment by Chinese companies. He has published several research articles in professional journals.
Mr. Guo served as the executive director, director of the Foreign Exchange Professional Committee, and deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Xi'an Lawyers Association. Currently he is the director of Shaanxi Lawyers Association, director of the Foreign Affairs Professional Committee, arbitrator of Xi'an Arbitration Commission, member of Legal Services Group for Major Construction Projects of Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
